Day 1: Arusha- Lake Manyara National park
Depart for Lake Manyara National Park at around 0830am, famous for its tree climbing lions and large flocks of flamingoes. The park contains five distinct vegetation zones and is of scenic beauty. Dinner and overnight at Twiga/Jambo campsite. The Lake Manyara National park is serene and beautiful with main attractions of a rich bird life, tree-climbing lions, its elephants, and hippos that you can see at closer range than most other places. Lake Manyara is an alkaline lake and at certain times of the year hosts thousands of flamingos and a diversity of other bird life. Although it is one of the smallest parks, its vegetation is so diverse enabling it to host a variety of wildlife habitats.
Day 2: Lake Manyara/ Ngorongoro
After breakfast Proceed for morning game drive where a good network of tracks and roads in the park allows excellent viewing opportunities. Animals seen include buffalo and elephants. Other animals present that can be seen are the tree climbing Lions, Girrafe, and Hippo. Thousands of flamingos, Red-billed quelea, Pelicans are few of the many bird species can be seen here. Afternoon drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro camp.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater/Arusha
Early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro crater for a full day of tracking game in the crater floor. You will break for your picnic lunch at the Ngoitoktok springs picnic site. All the big five may be seen. This huge caldera or collapsed volcano is 250 square kilometers and 600metres deep. Its spectacular settings and abundance of wildlife makes it one of the natural great wonders of the world – is referred to as the eighth wonder of the world or the EDEN of Africa. Late afternoon drive back to Arusha to end your trip.
